We are please to announce the Shakerpedia has finished phase 2 of digitizing the work of Betty (Elizabeth) Shaver at Shaker Heritage Society, Watervliet, NY. She had transcribed over 1500 pages of Shaker journals. These have been in the SHS library. All these are now digitized and indexed on Shakerpedia.

The new digital collection includes journals from each family: Church, West, South and the Ministry ranging from 1788 to 1938. Included are a number of Mrs. Shaver analytical reports, including children name index, and mental health analysis. The digital collection is arranged by family as the documents were in the binders. The next phase will be to better organize the collection and deal with some subtle aspects of text indexing that could not be handled automatically.

Since there is so much material already processed, we felt it already useful in it's current form. We are also looking for suggestions from the Shaker research community as how to best support journal reading and studying.
