31 Aug 1842 "Elder Brother,*: DAB, Benjamin Youngs and Frederick
Wicker went today to set the stone at the SW corner of the Holy
City, which corner was found by survey, with the aid and guidance
of the Holy Angels, through the medium of divine inspiration. The
stone set at this corner was a sort of cobblestone in a
triangular form, having three corners, the smallest corner being
plaXced upward about 6" above the surface of the ground. The
stone in length, from one side to the coroner is upwards of 3
feet; and upon one side of the stone were cut, in tolerable size
letters, the following words, viz: 'SW Corner, May 5, 1842.'"
