- 27 June Derrick Vedder sent for his daughters to come and visit him as he is very sick. They
stay overnight.
2 July Samuel Pease goes with :. Veddergirls tosee their father.
7 July Derrick died.
17 July "We expe! Joseph Francis from our Society." We have a letter from the two Betsys
at Long Island,

22 July Morrel! and Stephen W e l l s go to

26 July "Almost all the able brethren and Zeviah (Spier) and Susannah go to the River to w o r k . "
27 July Begin to cut wheat at River Farm.
30 July Benijamin Train takes sick/ a swelling in his throat.
* 3 Aug Elder Brother and Nathan Spier go after ash timber for chair bottoms.
10 Aug "We have 102 shocks of summer what. We judge that in both families (1st & 2d Orders)
we have raised 400 bu. of summer and winter wheat this season. "
15 Aug Morrell y Stephen and two Betsys return home/ latter have been gone 13 weeks & 4 days.

3-4 Sept Getting stone from the river (NF quarry apparently /'not In use yet)
25 Sept Jededlah Buckingham comes to visithis relations.

7 Oct Levi Dodge comes after Joel and Clarissa's clothes.

about 500 bu.
