30 Jan Mother has been confined to Meeting House but appears better.

5 Feb Mother Lucy's birthday. In morning she walked to Office about 9:30
but about noon she was led back to Meeting House and grew worse, so
Abijah Wood was sent to Lebanon to inform the elders and bring back
El iab (their doctor).

6 Feb Elders arrived from Lebanon about 10 a.m. Mother had "a fit of ague
followed by a high fever; at night she had a fit of ague followed
by a cold sweat. "By this time all hopes of her recovery appeared
doubtful."

7 Feb Mother Lucy died about 2:45 p.m. and a brother sent to Lebanon.

8 Feb Six wagons arrived from Lebanon with Elders and Deacons of CF &
2d Family, Elders from NF & Hi I IFamily, 24 brethren and 15 sisters.

9 Feb Funeral about 10 a.m.

10 Feb Previous to her death,Mother Lucy appointed her successors: Abiathar
Babbitt released, appointed Ebenezer Bishop and Rufus Bishop, Ruth
Landon and Asenath Clark. Abiathar came to live at Wvlt CF.

18 Feb Betsey Hastings released at NF; Rachel Farrington in.

24 Feb VanBenthuysen came to see about printing the new book.

March A number of brethren and sisters at CF and NF have been sick with
measles during February & March and also a number of children.
