12 Jan Eight of Legislature at meeting and after meeting requested to come into the dwelling

13 Jan Abigail Messenger has gone in the second house to assist Mariah taking care of the
girls. There are 17 of them.
14 Jan Herman Baker has taken his four children to NF to live. They are Abby (12),
Catharine, Sarah Jane and Charles (2). Have been at SF five weeks.
24 Jan "Thomas Wells has made up his mind to go to the world. An unwise choice. "
25 Jan Took Thomas to Albany and he got the 3 o'clock stage for NY. "We had $300 of his
father's property deposited in the bank and gave him $24."

Troy but her mother had moved east, so she was brought back.

his place in Office as first Trustee.

28 Feb Ruth Whipple is carried toWest Troy and given up to the world.

31 Mar Minerva Simons went to the world.
2 April Betsy Springer has gone to the world and taken her two daughters, Lyda and Leonaro.
It was Lyda's choice to go.
10 April Loiza lay speechless and unable to open her eyes for 30 hours.
13 April C. Copeley, Clarissa and Lydia Annas go on a journey with 400-500 bonnets to Sandy
Hill , Glens Falls , etc. Return on 19th .

30 April Loiza M. Smith died. 24 years old.
1 May Loiza's funeral. The sisters went to the grave marching four abrest. Sang Father
Joseph's march on our return home.
4 May Thomas Wells is hanging about here.
14 May "The present work is forall togive up all books and papers and have them examined.

2 June Laura Campbell died with consumption. Only six sisters from CF to the funeral . (tt>w--e
12 June Found a very destructive bug in their orchard and it appeared the fruit was nearly
destroyed. A littlelargerthan the common housefly and formerly has been very des-
tructiveamong the roses. 15 sisters wentout to killthe bugs.
4 July Chauncy Miller went to Schenectady to his sister's funeral .
17 July Molly Chapman died -about 93 years old. "She has lived at WF 8 years but never set
out to be a Believer. She came there on account of her son James living there. "
16 Aug Ralph Hodgson died at WF . 85 years old
12 Aug David Slosson died.
22 Aug Understand a drawbridge at Albany broke down and a number of people drowned.
25 Aug Have taken 22 bodies from river and believe there were 70-80 that fell in, plus a
number of horses.
10 Oct Catharine Adams came to see her little girl Mary Frances, who will be 8 years old on
January and has lived here 3 years, 2 months and 8 days. Catharine "would not be contented to
leave without her daughter so she took her away."
