Holy Mother Wisdom for the Elders of Canterbury. It was a trunk
filled with the blessings and beautiful gifts of God - many beau-
tiful songs and precious things. The trunk was placed on the
shoulders of Betsey HASTINGS, THE KEY THERETO GIVEN TO Elder Sister
Marsha Hastings and witnessed by the inspsired Myra Bean.

"Near the close of the meeting, an inspired sister (Sarah Simons)
came forward, clothed with the spirit of the deceased, singing
a new song worded as follows ... After this little song was sung,
she spoke to the brethren and sisters as follows: 'Weep not,
dear brethren and sisters, but rejoice with me for my soul is
joyful! Yea, my spirit rejoices in God for I am free from the
sorrows of earth, and I can rejoice with my blessed mother. . . . '
After she had spoken in this wise, desiring all to be faithful,
she sung a farewell song with these words..," After this another
instrument (Emily Gonkling) made Itnown a present for Elder Sister
which she had brought from Mother. It was a heavenly mantle for
each of the elders in the 1st Order in the lot where she had for-
merly stood."
3 Oct. Mother Lucy made herself known thru an inspired sister (Sarah
Simons) firstly by singing a beautiful song and taking Sister
Catherine Vedder b^y the hand, she walked up and down the alley,
bestowing her love and blessing in comforting words.
