8 Jan Nbncy Wells died. "Her disease was consumption with which her health has been
declining.for a long time past; byt she has not been confined to her bed but for a short
period. Her death was comparatively easy. Aged 2$yrs-9 mon-30 days. "

23 Jan A brother came from Lebanon and brought Abraham Hendrickson's clothing as he is now
going to live at Wfx Wisdom's Val ley.
29 Jan D. Miller, FSWicker, C Copley/ IssacharBates, Benjamin Train and Loren Wicks
attended court, along with Sisters Moriah Treadway, Clarissa Vedder and Betsy Harrison.
Suit did not come up.
30 Jan All went again today and had to stay overnight.
2 Feb All went again today. Case finally called at 5:30, "was under discussion 1 1/2 hours
and then non-suited by Judge Parker."
3 Feb Stanton and C. Copley went to AI bany "to purchase the right of soilon this unit, the
Bennet place, and in fact including allthe land belonging to the 1st and 2nd Orders
with the exception of the Groot farm--amount nearly $2000.
(This was apparently when the Van Rensselaer Patroon sold off his land.)
6 Feb Justice Harwood and FSWicker went to Albany to see the Surrogate concerning a boy
of the WF named Andrew Elmer Jerman. His relation seemed determined to get him
away from among Believers.
7 Feb Catherine Vedder and Moriah (Billet havefinished painting the window sash (for new
addition). They were primed and then painted three times over with a preparation of
4 parts white lead and 1 part verdigris, mixed with raw oil.
8 Feb DABuckingham went back to the dwelling house, having been in nurse's room about
2 weeks with the flue bordering on pleurisy. Also there have been William Yearsley,
Nehemiah White, Wm. Bates and Sally Mulley.
10 Feb "The family (aged excepted) rose this morning at 2:30, assembled in the meeting room soo
after 3, in union with a gift made known by a holy Angel through a mortal instrument."
14 Feb A man belonging to the "Community of True Inspiration" came and wished to stay over
the Sabbath. He Is going to present a bill to the Legislature in behalf of his Community.
The bill was signed Charles L. Mayer.
19 Feb William Yearsley lays at the point of death with lung fever. Has to have two night
watchers.
21 Feb William Yearsley died.last night. "He expired without a groan and almost without a
struggle. Another of our good aged friends has gone and left us, and one too whom we
anticipated would outlive many others who were in a more feeble state of health and
wornout constitution, but so it Is: I ife
is very uncertain, but death is sureto a l l . "

I write to George Yearsley to inform him of his brother's death.
1 Mar "There was no meeting at the Meeting House today. We had meeting at home. This
day is keptin commemoration of Mother Ann's birth. Some ready done inour morning
meeting on the subject of Holy Wisdom's Visitation and Work, her blessing & Mark, etc. "
