12 June Phoebe^Taylor, "a small sister," died at WF of con-

22 Aug Elizabethr Youngs at SF died. 82 years old
10 Oct Stanton, with hired help, has put tile drains some 6,
8 and 10 feet deep, and entirely drained "the hil1 lot
west of the burying ground." Cost of tile drains and
labor - $460.
26 Nov Elizabeths/Train died. Ae 72-9-26, of weakness of
stomach.
29 Nov Elder Amos Stewart of Lebanon Ministry had his hand
cut off in a planing machine.

13 Jan Albert^Twiss very sick. "Troubled in the urinary ves-
sels. Called upon Dr. Wade. He used a catheter and
drew about 3 qts. of water from him, which eased him
very much."
5 Feb Chas./Brackett released from herb business and now
works at shoemaking. William Bussell takes charge of
herb branch along with Chauncey Miller.
11 Feb "ElderDaniel is making a machine for pounding or
breaking ash timber for baskets."
9 Mar Jesse went to Troy to take to E. Waters, a dry goods
merchant, "a large quantity of paper boxes the sisters
have made for him."
13 Mar Jamesv/Ostrander died at SF. "He has been pretty much
confined to his room for more than a year. Old age &
debility cause of his death."
14 Mar Elder Amos has been visiting the various families at
Watervliet and the Society has made a small donation
to aid him in purchasing a wooden or gutta percha hand--
