6 Jan Geo. Price st^'art^ed out on the western seed journey for
the first time. Chauncey^Miller has been doing it the
past 10 years; will accompany him as far as Rome where

9 Jan Geo. Wright indentures his grand daughter, Mary Frances
Wright, to DABuckingham.
11 Mar The father of Ada and Augusta Shepperman came to see
them.
30 Mar Impeachment trial of Andrew Johnson started today.
4 Apr Sarah Dean has decided to go back to Mt. Lebanon.
24 Apr AsenatlrPennington, a young sister, died about 3 pm
from "quick consumption." She has been failing some
12 weeks.
11 May "Albina Hossuck, a poor diseased girl who lived with us
for a while, is nolp/at the Office, an object of pity.
She is covered with sores of scrofula and cancerous
tumors."

5 June Ada Shepperman decides to go to her mother to live and

3 Sept Richard^Dean released as Elder Bro at SF and Albert
Lomas will go from NF and replace him, with Elder
Issachar Bates. /
18 Sept Accident at NF> Thomas Beal went to cider press to
press down the cheese when an iron bar, not entirely in
place, gave way and knocked him and a hired man off the
platform about 5 ft. high. In falling Thomas hit his
head on a barrel of cider, knocked senseless and
thought dead. Carried to nurse "s dept, and came to
about 7-8 hours later. Dr. Wade sent for but was not
at h ome so messenger went on to West Troy and got Dr.
Witbeck. Towards evening Dr. March and son also came
having been requested, and gave directions similar to
those of Dr. Witbeck.
Alexander Youngs had his horses run away today and
throw him into a ditch and some injured.
20 Sept Letter from Harvey Eads of So. Union tells of fire
which destroyed their woolen factory - $30,000; grist
mill - $20,000, and sawmill - $200, etc. = in all
$60,000 loss. Work of KKK. No insurance.
22 Oct Wm.Vjohnson of SF badly hurt in fall from 3d story of
their brick shop through trap door to the basement.
29 Dec Joseph^LeFuma. of NF died quite suddenly of erysipelas.
30 Dec C. Miller, D. Sherman, C. Copley and John Decker went
