around gardens, barn and finally stood on walks in front of dwelling and sang several songs.
Then back to Office and left. We gave them plenty of apples, four pails of milk and 3 or
4 pails of new cider. "

Albany chemist and he analyzed it and "pronounced Itto be equal in medicinal properties
to Saratoga water 0 " His analysis read: "Carbonic acid gas - free & confined; sulpheric
acid - combined with the basic silica acid. The gas that escapes from the spring is carbonic
acid or fixed alr c This holds in solution some of the otherwise Insoluble carbonates of lime -
Iron & magneslurru When It escapes on exposure to the air, these lattersubstances are pre-
cipitated, especially the iron, which is Inlarge quantities in the water 0 The potash,
alumina and sulphuric acid exist partly as sulfiliates and partly as carbonates. The water
must possess marked medicinal properties by its composition," Prof. E. S. Carr,

31 Oct Mercy Harwood went to 2d Order to live, to officiate as nurse there,
