I 8 June First public meeting of year - about 500 of world's people. Had extra Society meeting to
learn-new exercise called 'Changeable Manner1 or 'Endless Chain. 1 Think of introducing
itinto our public worship. "

24 June Began raising new barn at 2d Family.
13 July Hundreds of people could not get into meeting, there were so many.
14 July DAB began painting window frames of stone shop. He is 70 years old. He is the "chief
and only painter."
24 July Thurlow Weed came out to visit. "Used to often come here In F.S. Wicker's day,
but has not been here of late. He says he has come to see his old friends -the Shakers. "
4 Aug. Dogs injured over 90 sheep, 20-30 have or will die.
