26 July Great railroad strike,.All trains stopped.

-* 8 Aug 0 We hear of a landslide on r.r 0 from Niskayuna to Schenectady. No mail coming now
* and not for 2 weeks.

9 Aug0 Almost no water in village because of a leak somewhere -- can't find it.

16 Aug. School children have picnic in usualplace - North Family woods.

19 Aug. Large audience. Theft of $25 property from children's dept. during service.
Sun. "Considerable noise & confusion among the spectators."


26 Aug. Stilllarger audience but behaved better. Two policemen around on guard.

3 Sept. Stillhaving trouble with aqueduct ~ but little water - and steam engine for drying &
canning is broken down.

4-5 Sep Stillhaving trouble with aqueduct - Set up almost all night trying to fix. Finally got
pump going.

5 Sept Dried 13 barrels corn 0

7 Sept Found 1 leak in aqueduct but still weak-glow.
9 Sept Ruth Green into infirmary 0
14 Sept Found main leak in aqueduct & mended0
23 Sept Ruth Green died.
6 Oct Oneida Community here on business "wishing to engage our canned tomatoes,,"

16 Oct Shipped 36 barrels of dried corn to Baltimore. We have agreed to ship ail our corn there
except 50 bbls for "Friend Bogle of New York 0 "

17 Oct More corn shipped - total 125 bbls0 with 175 Ibs in a barrel.
