21 Oct Jeremiah Lowe of 2d Family died.

1 Nov Have been drying apples a mew way at 2d Family. "The apple when dried looks as white
as a piece of white cloth,, and tastes as good when made into pie as green apples do. "

6 Mar New divisionof manure between farm and garden: Garden - cowyard (east of new barnV
office barn, office privies, garden barn & privy, 2 north privies.
Farm - cowyard (west of barn), ox yard, bullyard, yards of young cattle & calves,
sheep yards, pig pen & yard, washhouse & brick shop privies.

13 Mar Henry George took Joanna Myers & her daughter Elliette to Albany, "the latter has
forfeited her home among the Believers."

31 Mar C. Miller went to Albany to get Joanna Myers "on her return home after caring for.her
daughter who has'left her home among us."

5 Apr Sister Mariah Glllet, nearly 80, died. "She got a sliver in the ball of her thumb (as she
thought) which very soon began to swel 1 and was extremely painful. Itcontinued to swel
until itaffected her w h o l e
arm, which turned as black as a stove. That whole side of
her body became useless and finally she died. It is doubtful whether the sliver (ifany)
was the cause or not."
