23 Jan DAB, Henry George & Stanton Buckingham went to Albany Cemetery and bought 36 stone
. posts and metal rods to connect for $150 to put beside lane.
28 Jan Looking into having a new wheel (from Sand Hill) put in mill; waterwheel would carry
one run for grinding feed, and a buzz saw for sawing lumber or boards.
25 Mar J .C. Buckingham at WF died, aged 82 yr 9 mo. (Although this was his real brother, he
doesn't say so and makes no comment.)
31 Mar DAB painted a wagon for Office and farmers use.
6 Apr DAB grafting plums and pears in small fruitgarden.
7 Apr Elders and trustees of familieshave evening meeting "to consider the delapidated condition
of our burying ground."
14 Apr Another meeting of elders & trustees. Decide to remove all "stones" now In cemetery,
levei the tjround, and put in new stones, using the "blue stone" now used.
28 Apr Putting new waterwheel and new circular saw In mill.
1 May DAB tore down old fence in front of schoolhouse and put up new slat fence.

21 June DAB & his brother Stanton went to Schoharie "to view their place of nativity and round
about. Journeyed as far as Schoharie Courthouse, put up at Wood's Hotel for the night."
2 July Elder Giles Avery finished making 3 "Ladies Parlor Bureaus" to be sold for $30 each.
Two were purchased immediately by Mr. Eastman & Mr. Leland.

13 Aug DAB leveled off 64 graves In burying ground.
14 Aug. DAB leveled off 22 graves.
15 Aug. "A mighty throng of the world here today, a great many could not enter the Meeting
Sunday House, yet so many crowded in that there were not seats forour own members."
17 Aug Ministry start their easternjourney from Mt. Lebanon. "They accompany about 30 brethren
& sisters who were going to a Spiritualist meeting at Lake Pleasant. Believers chartered
a car for their trip expressly."
18-21 Aug DAB working on leveling graveyard* Then 11 teams & wagons - 4 from ChF, 2 from NF,
3 from WF and 2 from SF - went to Albany to bring home tbe gravestones, all prepared
&. lettered at quarry In N .H . 300 white marble stones weighing over 10 tons.
