9 Apr "Carpenter of the world comes to transform the hay house into an

10 Clean out office barn preparatory to moving it.

11 Jesse begins to move office barn.

12 Families take down oldjshed and ministry barn back of new Meeting House.
Brethren draw stone from Troy for Meeting House fence.

14 Pull up our seed cabbage to save it from frost. -12 and frost in ground
3" deep.

16 (Mon) Third day of snow.

18 Alfred LyaI and Nathan Wood leave.
Families begin leveling ground around new Meeting House.

20 Finish sowing onions, set out parsnips and top onions, sow sage,
parsley and plant early potatoes. Sow lettuce.
Families continue work around Meeting House.

23 Sow asparagus, black radish, vegetable oysters, etc.
Masons came to lay the foundation of meeting house shed and barn.

15 May Ministry are gradually moving their things from old meeting house
into the new.

17 Ministry now moved into new Meeting House; so Almira and her girls
have moved into the upper part of the old meeting house.

20 (Sun) Attend meeting in new Meeting House for the first time since the
dedication. "Families h^old a separate meeting after the Church
Family in the same place."

22 C. Copley, MorrelI Baker and Thos. McHugh go to Albany.
Gardeners working on putting.* in an aqueduct, (with lead pipe, etc.)

27 Church Family assemble in new Meeting House at 1:00 p.m. and families
at 3:30.

31 Gardeners work on highway and do 15 days' work.
2 June (Sat) Wash sheep, raise shed in back of Meeting House.

3 First meeting at which spectators are admitted in new Meeting House.

5 "Jeremiah and I build a machine for lifting the soap suds upon the
compost."

11 Jeremiah and?"- I collect lumber for seed boxes and drawers and take it
to the myiI I to be buzzed and planed.
Each day usually tells, of "Hoe, cultivate and weed."
