19 Jan Morrell Baker, "one of the aged brethren" died.
6 Feb F-S.^Wicker died. "In his lasttconfinement he seemed
to decline very fast..." Ministry had Elder Frederick
Evans "out of respect for the deceased and sympathy for
the bereaved," come to funeral and "deliver a very
appropriate and satisfactory discourse. "
Wicker's death left the tailor's shop empty, so DAB
started i^o learn how to cut garments.
23 Feb Thankful-'Copley died.
12 Mar C-^Copley and Geo.-^ Price went to Enfield, Conn, to see
how they applied steam power to the washing of clothes.
16 Apr SusannahrYoungs, "a very worthy sister at SF," died.
26 Apr "John Jack turns back to his former track, and is held
no more in union."
30 Aapr Two boys, 9 and 7 years, Nicholas and Henry Slipner of
Grooms Corners, taken on trial.

15 Aug Francis^Goodrich, last brother designed "first born"
died, having been confined 2 weeks or more. . "His
greatest affliction was the gravel."
5 Oct Jerusia Smith and Mary Stewart are brought from Leba-
non "to help" at the 2d Family, so they will live
there.
29 Nov Lucinda^Harwood died at WF.
12 Dec Sisters do laundry by steam power in new wash house.
"The flats for ironing are net by a coal stove, 'got
u^p for the purpose, capable of heating some 20 or
more flats at a time."
17 Dec Moriah'"Gillet has gone to SF to be/Eldress and Paulina^
Bates will be Elder Sister. Irena7 Bates released and
takes charge of the girls.

3 Jan Eliphalet Nelson, about 17 years old, came from SF to
live at CF. Sylvester^Prentiss moves from NF to CF
and will be. Family Deacon. Jesse^arwood leaves CF
and goes to NF to be deacon and trustee in charge of
temporal business.
5 Jan Thomas^Beal goes from^SF to NF to be Family Deacon.
6 Jan Sylvester Prentiss went to Albany to get rest of
pension coming to Sally Taylor, now deceased.
13 Jan Tina^Seaton died at WF of apoplexy and old age,
"She was much beloved and respected by all who knew her."
23 Jan Sylvester^wentjto Schenectady to ship some clothing,
etc. to Wisconsin "to some of his relatives there who
are needy and in a suffering condition."
27 Jan Two brethren come from David Parker to repair the
"wash mill" bought from them "as it seems to cut or
tear the clothing while washing."
David Parker himself arrives (from Canterbury) and
gives directions.
29 Feb Maynard Treadway and Lucy Bates have gone "because
