Oliver Train has been very crazy about 2 weeks. He
threatened the life of his sister Mary, had to be
confined and last week was taken to Hudson for safety

days ago, now the mother and 5 other children and a
boarder come--10 in all.

20 Nov Having trouble at SF with Garret VanHoesen. Rufus
tried to convince him "that, instead of the republic
belonging to the kingdom of Christ, it is only the
feet and toes of the great image."
24 Nov GVH is now planning to leave the Shakers and had gone
to Albany to find a house for himself, wife & mother.
25 Nov Brother Issachar came before breakfast to say that GVH
had rented a house in Albany, but had recanted and said
he could go away unless they carried him. After break-
fast Issachar came again and said GVH had changed his
Mind and was leaving. Then Calvin came and said he had
changed his mind and "could not go" and "what the poor
double-minded man will finally do is hard to tell."
26 Nov GVH goes to Albany to cancel rental of the house.

GVH and wife Delia went to the world.
GVH, Delia, his mother, father-in-law and others came
with 4 wagons to get "his movable property."
