12 May (Sun) Afternoon meeting, the NF took their seats about 15
minutes before meeting time and "they looked so beau-
tiful that we went down and sat with them."

22 May Evening singing meeting. DABuckingham, Benjamin Train,
Sylvester Prentiss, Nancy White, Mary Mully, Sophronia
Smith & Sarah Ogden "& others were operated upon."
23 May At evening meeting, FSWicker and Nehemiah White "had a
beautiful gift of shaking."
26 May (Sun) "In the public meeting (in the afternoon) , there
were many spectators. Some of the sisters attracted
their attention by the gifts of turning, particularly
Clarissa Shufelt who turned very swiftly for a long
time."
29 May Richard McNemar came from Ohio. He "does not pretend
to have denied the faith, but has lost his union to his
visible lead; of course he is like a wandering star."
30 May "Elder Ebenezer and I spent most of the forenoon in
conversation with Poor Richard McNemar who seems to
feel very much tribulation and seems to weep conside-
rable. He is very feeble and looks almost like a
Corpse. I should think he was bordering on insanity."
3 June Dorothy Kibbee died. "Had been unable to walk without
crutches" for about 8 years.
5 June (NL) This afternoon Samantha Fairbanks sat down "to
Smoke her pipe" and .was prevented by Father David Dar-
row who informed her that he had come from Ohio with
Richard McNemar for a protection and that he now
wished to speak to him." Received spirit messages from
David Darrow & Mother Lucy that "he was one of the
first who received & obeyed the gospel in the western
country and that he was one of its most able defenders.
...It all seemed to soothe & gather his feelings.
Richard seemed to received the whole with great reve-
