19 Jan "FSWicker went to Albany to ascertain what the Legis-

21 Jan (Sun) A number of Legislature called at the office and
attended public meeting which was very lengthy. "We
think the speaking was too lengthy." Both George Peavy
and Benjamin Youngs gave long discoudrses so the meet-

27 Jan KTesse Harwood goes to NL to see their carriage house
and horse s^table so he can calculate similar accomo-

30 Jan WF and SF turned out with nearly all their oxen and
Horse teams to draw sand from the NW to fill up the

9 Feb FSWicker has some worry as "he found there was great
excitement" in the State Assembly against the Believers
raised by William Pillow & other seceders. Elder Bro
Freegift & FSW went to Albany about 3 p.m. "To see what
they could do in quelling the excitement."
10 Feb DAB went to NL "to procure their statistics and to get
some of the brethren & sisters to come here for our
friend Taylor [their lawyer] to converse with. Freegift
& FSW have some hope of success.
