plastering.
17 May William Smith came to CF Office & "begged for another
privilege. He had been gone just a week. He stated
that he had been to see an association in the Jerseys &
another in Hopedale, Mass. & found them to be a company

26 May Masons finish plastering shop. Clean mortar off wood-
work, sisters wash windows, clean out rubbish.
4 June (NL) Ministry receive letter from President of National
Fair at NYCity saying "he had been acquainted with
articles of our manufacture for many years & expressed
a desire to have an exhibit of them at the Fair. But
we cannot feel that it is right or necessary for us to
intermingle with the world in such-like companies &
