John Dean, Elder Sister Eliza & Sister Polly went to
Providence to bring Sally Dean to WV.
19 Nov Elder Amos in Albany--bought 2 bottles of Woods hair
restorative at $1 each.
20 Nov John & Sally arrived at WV. Had accident on way & El-
der Sister Eliza had her ankle badly broken & Sister
Polly her knee injured. Had managed to get them back
to Lebanon by train, etc.
21 Nov Caleb Dyer came on way to Mt. Morris.
18 Dec (NL) Lockwood Reynolds of East Family went to breakfast
as usual and not long afterward was found dead in the
barn, hanging by the neck. No one seemed to know the
cause. Got Squire Bull from Lebanon Springs & he said
there was no need to have an inquest.
19 Dec Eldress Asenath died fjferom flu & lung fever.
21 Dec Elder Bro Joel Smith of WfTwent to Lebanon to see
Ministry about Oliver Prentiss.

20 Jan /"Sally Bigelow died at WF - inflammation of the brain.
22 Jan Bro Daniel & Elder Amos went to WF to see Mathew
VanDeusen who had been there a number of days waiting
to see the Ministry "about the way in which he was
treated at Groveland and of his present condition."
They returned the next afternoon to finish their con-
versation.
23 Jan i^Emeline Clark moves back to the WF. "She could not or
would not be satisfied and make a home in the CF. We
consider it is a areal dishonor to herself considering
the forward privilege she has occupied."
27 Jan Elder Amos went to Groveland, some about their new
house, some about Mathew VanDeusen "to help settle past
difficulties." Went by railroad from Niskayuna to
Schenectady, toRochester, overnight in Rochester, to
Avon by r.r., to Mt. Morris by stage, to Groveland on
foot 4 miles. Traveling disagreeable, snowed all the
time. "Arrived like a thief in the night, wholly
unexpected."
29 Jan (Grove) Made a few changes in the draft of their new
house. Mathew VanDeusen arrived (as planned) and they
met with him. He told what he had done without their
knowledge "and I believe gave general satisfaction."
31 Jan (Sun)(Grove) In evening talked with the elders "as they
were young and some of them inexperienced in the order
& I told them something of my experience."
