8 Feb ^Ann Clement of WF fell & broke her arm.
11 Feb Chauncey Copley & Chauncey Miller arrived home from
their seed route in Black River country. Had been gone
4 weeks.
15 Feb "'William Bussell, a young Believer, came to the office
with Elder from the SF to make a visit. He has brought
his 3 children with him.
21 Feb (Sun) Ministry went to WF & attended meeting with them at
10 a.m. "They have gathered in of late a number of
young Believers, somem of which make rather an awkward
appearance in worship,a but they generally appeared to
take hold & labored to do their best."
4 Mar (ML) Ann Pillow & son Edward are at NF to become
Believers & her other sons, William & John, also come.
19 Mar Janett Angus & Lydia Annas went to NL to see about
making articles for sale.
29 Mar (ML)"Elder Bro Philemon of 2d Family went to the Minis-
try & informed them about Jesse Street "who seems to be
in a statue of derangement." Bro Daniel went to see
Him & then called Dr. Wright who came & "pronounced him
insane & counseled as well as anyone could."
30 Mar (NL) Jesse Street went to 2d Order "to stay a spell."
29 Apr Some from NL came to get rose bushes from NF.
3 May t/Louise Fairchild of NF fell off some steps & received
a compound fracture of her lower leg.
5 May Sisters from WF & SF cleaned the meeting house.
11 May FSWicker, Daniel Sherman, Elizabeth Seeley & Lucy
Fuller went to Waterford to identify things stolen from
the Island, suspecdts named DeVoo live at Lower Aque-
duct. Adjourned.
9 July "S[amuel] .Rt^^went off [from NF]."...many years of labor
& struggle to sell his birth & sink his soul forever."
11 July (Sun) Rebecca Jackson spoke at public meeting "very
prettily." Bad storm in p.m. with high nw wind & hail.
Broke windows in office & dwelling & damaged gardens,
Orchards & fences. 2" rain. "Seed onions on hill
Between CF & WF are a total loss." SF had about 1000
Panes of glass broken, WF 500-600 & both lost their
onion seed. Total loss to Society about $3000.
At the NF found a spiritual destruction which seemed
much worse than the hailstorm. Angeline Latherumore
had made upp/ her mind to go to the world, her atach-
ment to Samuel was so strong that all the entreaties of
her best friends could not prevail, but go she would."
14 July Went to NF "to fill up vacancies/ in the elder order
