8 June Bro Daniel with Eldress Betsy & Sister Eliza Ann went
wwith the SF eldresses "to see their west family where
Abial Hathaway lives. Took dinner there & then went to
what is called their north family."
11 June The CF raised some building on their south family.
20 June Eld Bro Amos was sent to Groveland to check on their
building. Returned 25th & "does not report very favor-
ably...They are progressing with their new house but
some things about it are not in accordance with the
usual manner of building by Believers--the door & window
caps in particular & also the stone steps."
9 July (NL) In the morning the Ministry were informed that
Sister Amy Bennett was missing. "She has been in a
deranged state of mind some months past, seeming to feel
as though she was entirely unworthy to remain with
Bellievers." A few days ago she was taken to the East
Family to see if a change would do her good but it did
not. Several teams went out looking for her but then
word came from the East Family that she had been found
in the woods without any cap or gown. The Eldress &
others brought her home.
18 July Bad storm at WV, almost a tornado. At SF took ^ the tin
roof of the brick shop & also tore off some of the boards
& rafters.
23 July Requested Frederick Evans to come to speak at public
meeting as they had a large amount nof spectators & "no
very able speaker."
10 Aug Ministry came from NL & also Isaac Youngs "in hopes that
it might prove a benefit to his health which has been
failing for some months past. His com

Eld Emory Brooks came from Groveland & talked to Ministry
about difficulties concerning the building of their new
dwelling house. "In which there was a serious lack of
union."
