29 Aug Brethren & hired men have begun to move the extract
building next to the new washhouse so the machinery can
be driven by the same engine & steam power. Moved 50-60
rods north of previous location.
1 Sept The two Ministry women went back^to NL.
3 Sept Bro Daniel spent some time with Oliver Prentiss "& find
him anxious to return to seek his union with Believers
again. Some portions of the elders & deacons would be
glad to have him return while others feel very much
opposed to it. The sum of $170 per year is felt some in
t$/he pocket on the part of the deacons, which was the

6 Sept Group of visitors from Lebanon, mostly to see Ministry

12 Sept Bro Daniel left WF for Groveland. There he does away
with the ministry & makes Daniel Dryer Elder of 1st
Family, Emory Brooks Elder at Gathering Orderl, Eldress
Lydia first, Jacob Duhr to live with Daniel, Polly Ann
smith to be Elder Sister. Back to WV on 19th. Ministry
arrived from Alfred, Me. & all went to NL.
3 Oct (NL) Family get Elder Richard to resign but he requests
that Giles Avery succeed him as Elder Brother while
Daniel Boler becomes Elder.
5 Oct Eld Bro Giles & Sis Eliza Ann bring^faary Stewart to WV
where she is to live at WF & "be a help in taking care of
the sick & infirm." Some are disappointed that Elder
Amos Stewart did not return to the Ministry.
