Sylvester Prentice of CF takes his place
20 May Giles moved some bees from SF, WF and NF to make a clear
field of 2-3 miles area for rearing Italian queens.
23 May "L.A. Aspinwall, about 3 miles from Albany on the plank
road, came to WV to see our Italian apiary." We make up
4 neucli swarms for rearing queens& take them to SF.
29 May Public meeting, a large audience. Joseph Pelham spoke.
30 May Giles makes two barrels of honey wine.
1 June Ministry return to NL.
5 June (NL) Ministry speak to Henry Cantrell about moving to
Groveland to live with Elder Chauncey Sears in gathering
family.
21 June Ministry go to Groveland. Take Henry Cantrell with them.
John Gildersleeve conies out of washhouse & takes kitchen
garden-with Elder Daniel Grossman; Andrew Fortier takes
washhouse; Dwight Hinkley leaves office team & takes cows
again; James Thompson moves from family deacon to take
office team; James Calver goes into family deacon's lot;
George Thompson leaves the garden & takes Henry Cantrell's
horse team; Henry Calver leaves herb packing business &
goes into great garden or seed business.
29 June (Groveland) Ministry go to Prospect Hill, Mt. Morris. It
"overlooks the Genesee Valley for 30-40 miles in extent &
gives some of the finest scenery in the world."
24 July (NL) Appoint Charlotte Bounds as Eldress of East Family.
29 July (NL) Supt. of reform school in Rhode Island came to see
the 12 boys taken from there. Doing well.
15 Sept Ministry come to WV. Isaac N. Youngs "goes to the 2d Fam.
to be doctored some, to try & change his sense a little."

18 (Sun) "Many of the brethren & sisters do not attend public meeting,
wearied out with sweet corn harvesting so continually day
& Night. "
20 Sept Giles went to Albany to buy some Indian rubber gloves to
handle bees with.
A man named Tubbs came to NF & kidnapped a little girl that
his wife left there some months ago .
12 Oct Giles made a flight of stairs for Meeting House cellar, &
puts a plank cover on the cistern in MH cellar.

The NF is putting a brick porch on the west side o their
brick shop to support the walls of the building & to use
for a blacksmith shop in the b asement & storage above.
