4 Sept Ministry come to WV.
5 Sept The families very busy canning tomatoes & sweet corn. "A
general complaint of being close time for money. Brooms &
wares of all kinds arevery low in the market.:
8 Sept (Sun) Pub meeting, but no speaker, so Bro Austin read a dis-
course delivered by a brother of Union Village.
15 Sept Asked Bro John Robe to come from Lebanon to preach today.
8 Oct Elder Daniel & Giles go with Bro Alexander Youngs to see a
couple of new farms the WF have been buying. One of 64
acres , the other of 190 acres called the Rosendale Farm
taken for debt.
9 Oct Ministry return to Lebanon.
17 Oct Elder Daniel and Giles go to Harvard, Centerbury, Enfield,
NH, Alfred to New Gloucester. At the latter, they remove
Isaiah Went worth as Trustee and pack up his things so he
can return to Lebanon with them Return home Nov. 14th.
(Isaiah, however, did not come, although he promised . )
16 Oct (NL) Elder Thomas Damon of Hancock talks to Ministry about
breaking up Hancock West Family & it is decided to do so.
5 Dec Ministry come to WV.
12 Dec Elder Daniel works on CF chairs; Giles on his bee stuff.
25 Dec "Today being Christmas, it is strictly kept. Both orders
of the CF met at 1st Order's meeting room & we had a very
good meeting, read some Swedish letters, etc. ?

28 Dec Chauncey Miller & Chauncey Copley "pleading for a release
from their burdens as Trustees. "

20 Jan Hear from Main Ministry that Isaiah Wentworth is "doing a
bia- business in furn^hing the Grand T ruftk RR with wood --
contract to deliver 10,000 cords.
28 Jan Chauncey Copley takes Sally Neal to Lebanon to be doctored.
2 Feb (Sab)(NL) "All of the societies in New York & New England have
a union gift in singing a little anthem, entitled "Wrestle
for the Blessing. "
