3 Jan (Grove) Ministry receive a letter from Albert Lomas saying
the Boston meetings were a success. "Other reporters pro-
nounce them a failure., as far as anticipated result upon
the public mind is concerned."
Groveland doing big business in brooms this winter. West

per week, East Family from 50 to 100 doz. per week.

Receive a letter from Canterbury that Eldress Harriet is

14 Jan Elder Daniel goes with Bro Galen Richmond & Albert Lomas
"to see a-farm of about 14 acres in Niskayuna, 11 acres of
which comprise an island in the Mohawk River. The SF desire
to buy it, by selling a mortgage on their West or Abial
Hathaway farm. We give them our union in doing so."
Bro. Galen r s team ran away in Schenectady with 50 doz,
brooms on the carriage, run over him, injure his legs
badly, & killed one horse outright.

number of pictures he has taken of Lebanon Village.
16 Mar Ministry come to WV. "Most stormy day of winter."
19 Mar Benjamin Hughes of SF died, "an aged man, unfortunate, etc."
23 Mar "Charlotte Youngs of SF, aged about 80, fell down stairs &
broke one wrist & hurt herself internally very much indeed
& it is thot she may not long survive." Funeral on 27th
