15 Dec Ministry come to WV.
22 Dec Arrange to move Bro Daniel Brainard from hired men's shop
at NF to the brethren's farmers' shop & the hired broom
maker to Daniel's shop at the hired men's house. Also
arrange for the brethren to go to making brooms.
23 Dec Fred Evans comes to see Ministry. Is scheduled to go to a
Spiritualists' convention in Cleveland in January & wants
Albert Lomas to go with him.
25 XMAS "This day is kept as the day of general sacrifice for Society
at WV.IV
27 Dec Elders of WF & SF visit Ministry. Elder Jeremiah Lowe is
requested to move to NF to be Elder in place of Sylvester
Prentiss (who is very sick).
28 Dec Ministry go to make above move but, when they get to WF,
Elder Jeremiah refuses to move to NF.
29 Dec George Price & Giles move the buzz saw bench from Br Free-
gift 's room at the mill down to the feather room at the wash
house, so as to run the buzz saw by st^jn, to make some seed
boxes & drawer boxes.

7 Jan Elder Daniel working principally on chair & basket stuff.
Giles "putting together drawer seed boxes, a new thing, bavin;
tin cross partitions for making the pigeonhole divisions."
14 Jan After working on seed boxes all week, finish up late today
(Sat) 100 drawer boxes, ready for staining.
16 Jan Eld Daniel & Giles go to WF & SF about changes. Move Bro
William Hunter, John Holdt & Burdett Hanks to NF.
17 Jan Go to WF & release Eld Jeremiah Lowe & appoint Augustus
Blase with Isaac Anstatt to live with him.
18 Jan Go to Albany to make arrangements to start a Shaker paper
called "The Shaker", the motto to be "I will Shake all
nations & the desire of all nations shall come, and I will
fill this house with glory, saith the Lord."
