7 Jan Giles attends meeting at NF. "Their family is very weak
on the female side . "
8 Jan Talk with Trustees relative to NF seed route, trying to
settle the question of taking it at the CF or not.
9 Jan Meet with brethren of CF in evening about "throwing up the
commission seed business or taking on the NF route at
Lebanon, in addition to that now possessed. " Giles making
seed boxes.
10 Jan C. Miller goes to Lebanon to see Bro Levi Shaw about taking
the NF seed route, as last night it was concluded for the
W CF to take the route.

14 Jan (Sun) "A free prayer meeting this evening, no very stirring

15 Jan A new knitting machine at SF. "It appears to do good work
and is liked much."
17 Jan Giles setting up buzz saw to go by steam at the feather
room of the wash house.
23 Jan Elder Daniel returns from Lebanon, having gone there to
oversee the split up of the East Family. The NF are to
take all the farm in NYS^fncluding the west barns , the
nurse shop, brick shop & saw mill.
25 Jan Nehemiah White & boys finish sawing seed box stuff for
600 boxes. Giles cutting tin for seed boxes in Ministry
Shop.
27 Jan The foreman farmer of SF, a German named Conrad, goes to
the world. *
29 Jan Elder Daniel & Giles go to SF to see Galen Richmond & the
elders about selling off two of their out farms , one
called the North or river farm, the other the West or Abial
farm. Also some buildings in Troy.
1 Feb Put up a coal stove in the Ministry Sisters ' Shop .
7 Feb Ministry return to Lebanon.
14 Mar (NL) Making arrangements to build a chair factory.
10 Apr Ministry return to WV. David Hawkins has died; Charles
Rockwell has gone to the world.
