20 May Giles goes to WF to help the carpenter pick out the timber
for the barn.

22 May Elder Daniel & Giles go to SF to help them making window
frames for their barn. And continue to do so thru June 2.

4 June Begin putting timbers on the foundation of SF barn.

5 June Andrew Barrett & Wesley Bland come from Lebanon 2d Order
to help SF with barn & raise 1st loft.

8 June (Sun) Opened public meeting, "a very full house and a good
meeting; Society exercise in a manner called the endless
chain march."

10 June Ministry work at WF barn; Giles makes frames for 6 cellar
windows.
Giles continues to work on windows at both SF & WF.

15 (Sun) "A very full public meeting. We exercise again in the chain
inarch; it is quite interesting and very pretty. "

22 (Sun) Very large audience at public meeting; Albert Lomas spoke.
25 June Ministry return to Lebanon.

11 July (NL) George Wickersham gets sample cast iron monument from
George & Giles in Pittsfield. The casting, including the
stake to put in ground, costs $1.75 but they think they can
get them for $1.50 or less.

21 Aug Ministry come to WV. .

27 Aug Elder Daniel & Giles go to Rosendale with Elder Augustus
(Blase), Isaac Anstatt & John Decker to see their old dam
& judge whether to repair it.

29 Aug Ministry have a "very laborious day" with Frederick Hanks
(brother of Burdett).

30 Aug Ministry brethren go to SF and "have a talk with Elder
Albert concerning spiritual conditions in the Elder's order."
1 Sept Giles goes to NF "to work at their waterworks to make a new-
cistern and dam of brick across the ravine in WF lot, west
of the village."

9 Sept Giles continues on waterworks, Eld Daniel picking tomatoes.
15 Sept Show the cast iron grave marker to the different families.
18 Sept Ministry return to Lebanon.
14 Oct "Our new cast iron grave monuments arrived from Albany today."
16 Oct Giles writing to various societies about their desire for
the continuance of "Shaker & Shakeress" & their support.
