3 Mar Giles finishes the sewing couner & moves it to the Sisters

5 Mar Bring the SF organ to the singing school. Have sessions
in evenings and whole society attend.

has been ill quite a bit of the time. Singing school con-
tinues in evenings. Give them presents -- music books, ^ gold
musical instrument, etc.
18 Mar Ministry return to Lebanon, & Enfield singers with them.
23 Mar (NL) Less than half as much firewood put up because of con-
version to coal cooking stoves in kitchens, office, hired
men's house, sister's basket shop, sisters' sitting room &
dining room.
16 Apr (NL) Otis Sawyer visited. Had been to Poughkeepsie to look
at a farm, but will not buy for New Gloucester to move to.
15 May Ministry return to WV.
18 May Giles goes to Albany to get a sewing machine for Eldress
Ann; also to look up a grave monument for Jonas Nutting.
23 May Giles goes to NF to see elders & deacons "relative to
business operations for the season, to stopjj some and en-
courage others,"
25 May Elder Daniel getting basket stuff from the woods, "says it
is the last he shall ever get out."
