1 June Elder Daniel working on basket stuff; Giles at NF building
a chicken house .

8 June It is arranged for C. Copley to move back to CF to live
and George Price will take his place.

12 June CF raising a barn on river farm, which is now rented.

18 June Ministry return to Lebanon. Accompanied by 2 brethren &
10 sisters intended to meet a party from Lebanon at Lewis'
Hotel in Schodack. Wait 6 hours , others do not come .

I July Ministry 2 elders and 20 others come to Schodack & meet
group from WV CF at 8:15, part at 4:45. (total about 40)

8 July Chauncey Dibble of NF goes to Lebanon about "trouble about
C. Copley's doings with the family etc."
12 (Sun) (NL) Ministry, elders, deacons, all both sexes, meet to
decide "whether it is best to purchase an organ or not , to
train to sing by; it is decided to get one, and the family
is spoken to in the evening. "

II Aug Ministry come to WV,

19 Aug Ministry go on to Groveland.
Elder Calvin going back to Lebanon. Emory Brooks to take
his place at WF but James Goodwin to be elder.
Back to WV on 28th.
10 Sept C. Miller returns from a trip to Kentucky & Virginia.
Families busy canning tomatoes; Giles working on NF chicken
house .
13 Sept Start a Sabbath School.

15 Sept "An Indian interpreter by name of Charles Keokuck here to
solicit the aid of tghe Shakers for government officials for
the Indians of Indian Territory near Kansas. "
On 16th he speaks in singing hall about present conditions
of "Sack & Fox nations."
On 17th he is making medicines for various persons.
On 19th., loan him money to return home.'
21 Sept Ministry return to Lebanon.
22 Sept CF new drying kiln burned by accident.
23 Sept^ Sweet corn harvest underway, WF drying 100 bu. per day.

7 Oct A/L- Giles gets material ready to put backs on benches in singing
school. Discusses with Fred Evans quality of material for
the Shaker paper.
