18 Nov Ministry come to WV.
25 Nov Giles goes to Albany to get some lumber to make ^secre-
tary for E Idresses room- also to get some diaries, fur -
trimmings, etc.
1 Dec Long talk with C. Miller "about his continuation in business
2 Dec C. Miller moves his things from the office. ' "No arrangement
had been made to that effect."
5 Dec Ministry brethren go to SF & arrange for John Taylor to
come to CF as a blacksmith & John Carson as a merchant.
"Both middle-aged men, we design the latter as a bookkeeper."
8 Dec C. Miller & C. Copley meet, by request, at Ministry Shop,
"the latter in an unprofitable condition."
12 Dec C. Miller speaks of quitting business on January 1, 1875.
Wants a successor appointed.
16 Dec Ministry spoke to C. Miller & requested he serve as Trus-
tee; he did not promise to do so. We requested him to re-
turn to the Office to live; this he did not promise to do
but did not refuse to. We await his future action."
