13 Aug C. Miller refuses to serve longer as Trustee; says he shall
give up all his burdens of that kind at once, and, as we
suppose, forever."
14 Aug Elder Daniel & Giles go to NF to see George Price to
ascertain if he is willing to come to CF as Trustee. He
objects, utterly refuses. We request Josiah to give up
the watch he carries.
15 Aug Ministry "talk with all the brethren about who they would
have most confidence in as a Trustee. They select C. Copley
Philip Smith & Henry George, universally we believe. So
we settle upon this."

16 Aug Arrange for C. Copley, P. Smith & H. George to be the
Trustees of CF.
18 Aug Can 25 bbls. of tomatoes today, making about 100 doz. cans.
22 Aug Cutting & canning tomatoes, cutting & drying sweet corn.
The new board of Trustees eigns a declaration of trust.
23 Aug Ministry return to Lebanon.

13 Sept (NL) Theodore Wicks of Wvlt came to see Ministry, looking
for a privilege here. NF decides to take him & his daughter.
25 Sept Ministry go to Wvlt.
Ruth Green died.
26 Sept Sylvester Prentiss is fixing the saw mill, with 2 hired men.
"Long needed."
28 Sept Ministry make arrangements for William Johnson of WF to go
to Lebanon CF and cut some garments for them.
Giles goes to NF "to make some labors with their youth,
who are living as they ought? not, some of them.1'
30 Sept Go to NF to see Elders ab^out having Margaret Gould, Samuel's
wife, & her youngest child, move there.
7 Oct Last pu^blic meeting for the season.
8 Oct Elder Daniel goes to SF to labor with Benjamin Brown.
Giles goes to take novitiate covenant blanks, and to WF to
