23 Nov (Sun) CF has singing meeting. "But the ability on Sisters'
sde..y for singing is gone out. There is very little gift
or talent in singing, & gift is low. Meetings, here at
Wvlt, are very dull & dry."
25 Nov Ministry sisters go to Albany to see Marcia Hillsgrove who
is at Eastrnen's house, to "decide about giving her a privi-
lege among Believers somewhwere, as she has left Canterbury
not to return there."
Giles writing to Editor of MIND AND MATTER in answer to
an article against the Shakers.
I Dec Ministry sisters go back to see Marcia Hillsgrove and give
her a privilege at Groveland West Family, where the only
sister is Eldress Abigail Grossman.
6 Dec Giles busy about the MANIFESTO at NF.
9 Dec Albert Lomas goes to Lebanon to see about Centre family
printing music for MANIFESTO for 1880.
Returns on 10th, having "settled some trials Elder Frederick
had about some of his articles.in the MANIFESTO."
II Dec Giles goes to NF to settle some difficulties between Geo.
Price & Albert Lomas about accounts & money matters.
16 Dec Giles draws up an agreement between Chauncey Miller and all
other officials of CF concerning management of CF lands
in Illinois/ & paying debts on Sand Farm near home, etc. "
17 Dec Ministry return to Lebanon.
28 Dec (NL) Ministry speaks to CF about experimenting by making
CF & other families all gathering orders where there is
ability to care for young converts.
RECAP Lebanon 1st Order has 29 males, 47 females, total 76.
Lebanon Centre Family has 26 males, 40 females, total 66.

& learn their status."
