woodhouse north of dwelling house.
20 May Henry George has now set up his new engine at mill & starts
a 5 f t. 'buzz saw.
25 May Giles goes to Albany to get a man to lay new carpeting in
Ministry rooms in Meeting House.
31 May Ministry return to Lebanon.
7"June Ministry elders go to North Union, Ohio, Appoint Matthew
Carter & Oliver Hampton to Ministry.
Lebanon Ministry visit Whitewater. In SF, 4 males, 8 females
Visit Watervliet] then go to Union Village. Get back to
Groveland on 28th of June. Return to Wvlt on July 5th.
8 July Giles see Albert about MANIFESTO; Elder Nathaniel about
"some boys."
9 July Ministry return to Lebanon.
27 July Ministry come to Wvlt, except -for Giles who is sick and
in the infirmary. Giles comes on Aug. 1.
/ 2 Aug Elder Daniel commences shingling "insane hospital. "
3 Aug Henry George starts.for Kentucky & Illinois to see Shaker
lands.
13 Aug Giles makes some bridges on the path to the saw mill. In
afternoon goes to River Farm with Geo. Price to see his
crops & kiln for drying sweet corn.
16 Aug Giles making some "new styled eight--square fancy boxes for
Aurelia White to sell at Office."
17 Aug Family canning tomatoes. Giles mend rocking chair for
family deacons.
18 Aug Giles goes to John A. Hills' Hotel to see him about a theft
of Henry Gassy's there.
20 Aug Giles goes to E_lm Tree farm about 3%lmiles away to see
some strawberry plants, some 40 kinds, for Lebanon Centre
Family .**""*'About .10 acres here in strawberries.
22 Aug Henry George home from Ky.; gets a bull & 2 full-blooded
Durham heifers, imported milk breed, very nice.
24 Aug Can over 100 doz. quarts of tomatoes & many doz. plums.
