Rachel Webb from Lebanon NF. She arrives on 6th.
8 Sept Giles fixes a machine to press out tomatoes for catsup,
tries it, it works well but is not large enough.

15 Sept Giles & Stanton go to Christian Talbot's to see a hand
cider mill .,& consider its possibility to press tomatoes.
18 Sept Giles fixing a mill for WF to make marmalade, currant
jelly, etc.
27 Sept Ministry return to Lebanon. Giles , with,\r Harvey
Fads , stops in Albany to the "new Capitol" .
13 Nov Chauncey Copley died.
15 Nov Ministry come to Wvlt .
20 Nov Giles fixes churn at SF to go by steam & it works well.
21 Nov Giles makes lamp stand for CF hall, to light dooryard.
27 Nov Giles spends most of the day at SF with Elder Galen.
28 Nov Giles works all day at SF to set up a sausage meat cutter
to run by steam.
29 Nov Giles goes to Albany to get some stuff to make a case of
drawers for Adelaide Ingham.
13 Dec Ministry return to Lebanon by carriage (covered), "wheel-
ing good most of the way, hard frozen & worn smooth."
18 Dec (NL) Eldress Harriet Bullard "convoys Charlotte Birdsel
to Wvlt to change her home."
On the 20th Charlotte,ftsay ing "she had lost all faith in
Shakerism, " went to her sister in New York.

who had come back to Wvlt , but now wants to go to NY again
8 Jan (NL) Ministry have letter from Charlotte Birdsel who again
wishes to return to Believers & go to Wvlt .
7 Feb Ministry come to Wvlt . Elder Daniel spends most days on
"basket stuff", Giles in writing letters, visiting the
various families .
18 Jan (Sun) Ministry all spend whole day at NF "in continual labors
"Sad family condition !'
21 Feb Giles drafting machinery & writes 13 letters for Gardeners
to help them sell sweet corn.
24 Feb Ministry go with Albert Lomas "to see a strip of land he
wishes to change^ with a neighbor to get a roadway."
