1 June Brethren & hired men all turn out to help set out 10,000
tomato plants. Giles paints some boards prohibiting
fishing in the pond & hunting in the woods.
2 June Eldress Harriet & Giles paint windows of Ministry Shop;
Elder Daniel gets out chair stuff.
10 June Ministry returns to Mt. Lebanon.
1 July (NL) Ministry go to Canaan with overcoats & fur gloves on.

5 Aug Ministry comes to Wvlt. CF is canning string beans.
9 Aug (Sun) Society meeting in morning. "No trouble from the world
as it is now quite generally understood there is no public
meeting."
11 Aug Eldress Harriet cleaning windows; Giles assists in taking
out & putting in windows.
13 Aug Giles goes fishing in morning.
15 Aug Letter from Groveland; Elder Peter Long "unable for duties."
24 Aug Elder Daniel, Galen Richmond, Stanton B. & Giles go to SF's
"West farm, 4 miles from Schenectady. Much improvement

25 Aug Giles goes to NF to see Geo. Price about school meeting.
Sweet corn harvest has begun; he has about 20 acres.
28 Aug Elder Daniel making half bushel baskets, 2 doz. or more.
31 Aug Elder Daniel making large wood baskets, Giles choring &
fishing a little. Eldress Harriet weaving at SF.
4 Sept Elder Galen Richmond & Giles go to West Troy to meet Edw.
Mullen who left SF in the night with a horse about 6 days
ago. Settle with him & he returns the horse.
9 Sept Ministry return to Mt. Lebanon.
4 Nov Ministry come to Wvlt. Giles is now 70.
9 Nov Ministry sisters go to SF to color some silk thread. Giles
goes to WF to see the elders about going to North Adams
to try to make contract to take brush business.
10 Nov Giles goes to North Adams about brush business, but does
not get it.
