1 Oct Giles goes to SF "to make some preliminary arrangements
for the removal of Edward Mullin, but he goes outside for
a wife, which he takes from the CF."
5 Oct Ministry return to Lebanon.
17 Oct (NL) Giles writes to Kentucky about land taxes; also to
New York to get papers from a real estate agent there
whose father was engaged to sell said Kentucky lands."

23 Nov Marcia Hillsgrove returns to Wvlt. Was at Lebanon 10 weeks.
7 Dec Ministry come to Wvlt, sisters by rail.
12 Dec Ministry horse, bought from Eastman, returned to him, as
they have decided to travel by railroad.
Giles goes to SF "to arrange about the stairway, doorway
etc. to/a new room they are making at the Laundry for a
sewing room."

14 Dec Henry Cantrell leaves to see about some business among
his relatives down east.
15 Dec Giles spend day at SE "to arrange the deacon's business -
there. Elder Daniel at baskets.
16 Dec Men are taking down the old blacksmith shop at CF.
20 Dec WE ST.SF elders visit Ministry. "No very encouraging news
to break, and nothing very 'bad. Society not in debt,
financially."

23 Dec Sisters work on sale shirts. It is their business at Wvlt.
29 Dec Elder Daniel has two hired men pounding out some walnut
timber for basket rims.
31 Dec SE deacons ask permission to buy a strip of about 24 acres
of land at Rotterdam that lies between their land & divides
it. Permission given.

9 Jan Putting a boiler in new mill. Elder Daniel spends free T
time making baskets; Giles mainly writing; Eldress Harriet
at SF doing laundry, etc.; Eldress Ann in infirmary at NL.
18 Jan Ministry return to NL.
19 Jan- (NL) Elder Daniel works on baskets; Giles shovels paths,
Feb fixes furnaces, writes.
9 Feb Giles comes to Wvlt about Kentucky lands. Ezra Leggett
has written "he has a slight hope of making sale of them."
