The eight remaining members of said family return to Mt. Lebanon,
namely, Elder George A. Clarke, Eldress Miriam Offord, Sisters
Angeline Brown, Alice Braisted, Mariette Estes, Janette Lees (?),
Adeline Patterson & Hazel Robinson, girl of 11 years, Anna Spellar,
a youth not expecting to remain long.
The securities of sisterhood of that family have long been under
the care of Mt. Lebanon Ministry to whom the appointed Trustee of
such fund'is responsible.
1917 July: It has been decided by Ministry and remaining members
of Enfield, Conn. (Church family) to have all remove to other homes
among believers, the choice of which is granted to individuals."-:
15 Oct. & 16, 1917: Arrangement has previously been made with
Sister Ella Winship of N.F. Watervliet to care for aged sister..
Maria Lyman, for which services Elder Walter Shepherd remunerates
family with check of $50 per month, also meet expenses in arranging
for her comfort, partitioning room & providing chemical closet &
other toilet conveniences.
Brother Daniel Orcutt in 88th year and feeble has already been
removed to North Family, Mt. Lebanon, where Elder Walter has been
asked by Min. to make his home.
This day, Oct. 15, via Hancock automobile, Elder Walter is conveyed
to his new home, where in former years he resided ajiile, and Sister
Libbie (?) Schnell jfto her chosen home at CF, Hancock. To that
family, in^onsideraion of her residence there, Elder Walter will
provide $150 annuallly. This, and the $600 per year for Maria Lyman,
from interest of 4 trust fund in Elder Walter's care - sale money of
Enfield estate.
16 Oct.: Eltldress Caroline Tate, Lucy S. Bowers & Harry Richmond
g_0 in South Family auto to their Watervliet home. They will reside
in brtDck building which has been thoroughly renovated and provided
with modern plumbing. Elder Walter sends check of $950 to Eldress
Anna Case in payment of expenses thus far rendered and has also paid
freight for each of the four carloads & for hired help employed.
Elder Caroline & Sis. Lucy S. Bowers, Trustee of sister fund, take
the whole of that with them for benefit of South Family - interest
of which was about $800 annually.
