17th Fri. Some of the gardeners have been employed helping the farmers draw in their
wheat and oats. Continue putting up seeds for the southern route.
18th Sat. Continue puting up seeds for the southern route hoed some of the little cabbage
and trimed part of the hedge
19th Sab Publick meeting at the Meeting house
20th Mon. Drew in and threshed the black winter radish mowed the early peas in the
field and drew in those which grew in northgarden. Henry Cantrell returned
from his visit to the East.
21st Tues. Finished printing bags Cleaned the black winter radish had (blank) Ibs.
Commenced threshing early peas.
22nd Wed. Threshed and cleaned 5 bushels Early Frame peas Finished pulling Early
Washington Peas
23rd Thur. Rainy day Most of the hands employed putting up seeds in the shop
24th Fr! Finished cuting parsnip seed and pulled up the old stalks continue puting up
seeds for the southern route
25th Sat Raised the new wood house west of the Brick Shop Cut some of the Red Dutch
cabbage seed
26 Sab. Publ ick Meeting at the Meeting House
27th Mon. Cut some of the searsity and turnip Beet seed also cut the first cuting carrot
seed Burned the old parsnip stalks
28th Tues. Threshed the Early Washington peas Plowed ground where seed parsnips grew
and sowed it to rye Cut some carrot seed Cleaned the Drumhead Cabbage
seed had 11 1/2 Ibs.
29th Wed. Threshed and cleaned the parsnip (had 141 Ibs.) and mowed the marrow fat peas
in North Orchard Cleaned the Early Washington peas had 12 3/4 bushels
Hoed the peppers
30th Thur. Cut the first cuting Red and yellow onion seed. Gathered some of the beet seed
31st Fri. Cut the first cuting White onion seed. Threshed and cleaned the Early York
cabbage seed had 69 I bs. Put up some seeds in the shop & commenced picking
over early peas

1st Sat Cut the Frankfort head lettuce Hoed the squash peppers and some of the little
cabbages Did some work in the seed shop
