29th Sat Loaded Levi's sleigh for the Western Seed Journey expecting to start next
Monday continue cuting seed bags
30th Sab Meeting at Meeting House. Not more than a dozen spectators. Elder
Richard gave some hints on behavior at table.
31st Mon This morning at about half past eight Brs. Levi Shaw & Douglass Spencer started
on the Western Seed route. The remainder of the gardeners are making seed
bags. Meeting this evening, it being New Year Eve.

1st Tues, Henry John Grieves & Charles Burke began to work at the broom corn.

Henry Cantrell started for Albany after broom corn with a sleigh. Charles
Bushnell is making seed bags
4th Fri. Henry returned with a load of fine broom corn. H,E. took some buckwheat
to mill.
5th Sat. H.E. went to grist milltwice with single horse Have been doctoring John
G for rheumatism in his shoulders, with water is better
6th Sab Publick meeting in the afternoon meeting we gave Brs. Chauncy & Avery a
large amount of love, strength & blessing to take with them on their journey
to theirformer homes in Lewis Co.
7th Mon. This morning the above mentioned brethren started with H. Cantrell for Albany,
Good sleighing. Beans drawing lags
8th Tues. Charles bought a quantity of toe or flax dressed
9th Wed. Some rain but not enough to take off the snow. An Englishman come today
by the name of Thomas Brown, a glass blower, has been seeking labour for
three months has become destitute.
10th Thur. Charles Bushnell is the only Br. that makes seeds here. Makes about a thousand
a day, H.E. picks them up
llth Fri. Very high South E. wind accompanied with rain which continues all day.

12th Sat. Quite warm foggy In morning. The Elders directed a letter to Brs. Clauson
