8th Topped the BW Radish & Rutabagas. Piled all the cabbages: in the Brick Shop,
in the South Cellar. The Savoy & Flat Dutch on the North the Drumhead &
Red Dutch. In the cellar of the West Cottage 2 piles South & York, and 1
small pile Drumhead mixed (from the cow yard).
9th Finished washing tomates; packed the roots in the Deacon Shop cellar; this year
we do not pack our carrots, but pile them in a heap without sand.
10th SABBATH DAY. Public & home meetings.
llth Drawing manure to the North Garden - 20 loads, 41 Brethren, 2 oxen.
12th Manure, 21 loads to NG - fine days.
13th Manure, 6 loads to NGarden & 20 to 1st Garden.

14th Manure, 4 loads to NG & 21 to 1st Garden
15th Spreading manure: 1 horse team ploughing North Garden & 1 ox & 1 horse team
1st Garden, Drew 2 loads manure to the NG. Splendid day.
16th Worked in the shop sorting old seeds from Canaan route.
17th SABBATH DAY. Rainy & some snow. Had meetings at home.
18th This morning we find about 2 inches snow on the ground. Boxing up seeds for
the Harford route. Brethren return from the Southern route.
19th Continue boxing up seeds.
20th Pasting show bills on boxes etc. Loaded Clawson; sorting seeds from S, Route.
Beautiful day.
21st Boxing up some extra seeds for the Southern route: CM starts on the Harford
route. Thrashing beans.
22nd Thrashed the yellow onion; also some Savoy for the herbs, cleaning seed with
the grinder.
23rd Thrashed the beans from NGarden, West Side and other etc. Thermo. 15
24th SABBATH DAY. Public meeting AM & singing meeting with Canaan singers PM
25th Cleaning seeds; thrashd lettuce. Levi to NYork in company with 3 brethren
from other families* Farmers chopping wood on the mt.
26th Rainy. Farmers finished husking. We cleaned up some beans and other etc.
Our lettuce amounted to but 12 ounces.
27th Topping small onions; drawing wood from the buzz saw, etc. etc. Therm,
