10th A little snow4 in. fell yesterday. H put the shop in better order* Reading
meeting as usual.

llth Cutting bags. Br commenced sawing with buzz saw*

12th Cutting bags, James the workman sawed his fingers with the buzz. Barney
from the church done this up. Lev! took some pickels to Edward's Depot, &
cleaned ours.

13th Cutting & tying up bags. Lev! started with his team for Albany with some
corn, beans & garden seed. Snowed till 2 P.M. The sisters have been pasting
bags for seeds, average 3,000 an evening,

14th Finished cutting bags. Warmer, thaws.

15th Levi returned this evening. E.R. & John Brown went to Pittsfield.

16th SABBATH DAY. Meeting at ten at home, Canaan Br. & Sisters here.
Singing meet 12 6, union between 7 & 8. Strong S wind with a little rain
turned to snow before more.

17th S.E. wind blows violently accompanied with snow. Most of the Br are in
shop. H is picking over carrots. Reading meeting as usual in seed shop.

18th H is emptying the red onions out of the barrels which came from N.Y. in the

v_ Upper House cellar, Levi is making shoes. Snow 3.4 in. deep.

19th No one inSeed Shop.

22nd Edward & Henry making bags. No one in the shop from 19th till today.
Clawson & George went to Pittsfield today.

23rd SABBATH DAY. About doz, spectators atpublic meeting. E. Richard &Wm.
O. started forNY last Thursday.

24th E & H are making seed bags. Levi went to the depot with 2 bis. potatoes etc.
Clawson went to Canaan tonight on his way to Albany, Reading meeting as usual,

25th Most of the Br are sawing, splitting& piling wood. E. Richard returned about
noon. Justice Harwood from Watervliet & Willard Johnson from Tyrtngham
were here today, E. making bags. Square Spencer of this town was accidentally
shot by his son today, in attempting to kill a rat.

31st Levi returned from N.Y. Henry Canrrell started Deerfield.
