girls occurred and Isaac Youngs came from New Lebanon to witness what was going
on. April 23, 1838 - "We ha^d an extraordinary meeting and the visionists told
us that there was agoing to be a very great outpouring of the work of God on earth."
10 Nov., 1838 - "We had a powerful meeting tonight. We had many good spirits atten-
ding with us, and Pontius Pilate with the rest. He has been a Believer 365 years."
10 Dec., 1838 "We had a wonderful meeting tonight. A great many good spirits
attended, among them George Washington and Benjamin Franklin."
Word of the visions must have become public, and on February 17, 1839, 25
of the Legislature attended public meeting, as well as on March 10, when"many of
the Legislature attended and the good spirits are here."
