Sand Creek Road.

28 July 1876 - Put in foundation fora heater in the dwelling house.
16 Sept 1876 - Loren Shook goes to Troy after his woman and two children and
moves into north half of new house.

6 Nov 1876 - Samuel Gould moves into the SF Shaker family, his wife Margaret
moves to the NF and the younger boy.
17 Apr 1878 - The Gould family moves back to Troy. May 18th -Samuel & his
son move back to the Shakers. June 8th - Samuel commits suicide by throwing himself
into the sawmill flume. June 10th - Margaret Gould takes her boys & things back
to Troy.
In 1881 they purchased a large evaporating pan and used it with cider to make
jell. Canning was now a very big business with them and this year they had canned
2300 doz. #3 cans of tomatoes, 300 doz. #2 and #2\s tomatoes, 212 doz. cans
beans, peaches and pears; 32 doz. cans peas.

Another hard hailstorm in Aug. 1884, had them replacing about 300 panes of
window glass. In October that year, a water tank was placed in the sisters' shop
for bathing purposes.
After ElderGalen;s death (at age 83) in August 1887, Elder Giles Avery of
the Lebanon Ministry, appointed Henry George to take charge of their financial
concerns and Ozias Bogart to be family deacon. In February 1888, Henry George
was trying to rent their Rotterdamfarm, and in Aapril Ozias was appointedElder .
In July of that year, John Dahm brought his children to the Shakers. These were
Mary, Grace and a brother. Mary and Grace were two of the three last Shakers
living at the South Family when it closed.
In August 18889, took off the front steps of dwelling house and replaced
with a "piazza." Henry George relieved of his responsibility at Watervliet and
moved to Mt. Lebanon.
