i865 Sold 15 acres of west farm for $777.50.
Bought 3 acres addition to Rotterdam farm for $535.
Bought 1/2 of a house in Troy for $1300.

Feb Bought 20 acres in West Albany with house & barn - $2200.
Bought house & lot in Rotterdam for $1000.
1867 Rented 70 acres from Mr. Prime joining north farm for $140.

1 Sept Drying kiln burned down.
12 Sept. Tremendous flood took out part of dam, undermined north end of mill and filled raceway
almost down to 1st Order pond.

Feb. Bought Clute island & small house & land in Niskayuna. Island has 9 3/4 acres, upland
3 1/4 acres, total cost $2508.55.
Dec Traded Sand Creek farm with Pittock for house & lot in Troy. Lot No. 422, 2d St.

July Galen Richmond sells his house & lot in Troy.
Nov. Barn burned (arson), loss $15,000.

Jan. Begin quarrying stone for new barn.
July Barn completed.
1874
April Built store at Niskayuna. Put slate roof on dwelling. Bought an oi^an .
Rebuilt sawmill in orchard.
1876
April Sold north farm, 138 acres, for $11,500.
J881 Built frame 32' x 501 addition to north side of brick machine shop for canning & washing
purposes. Put brick between wall timbers. Put in steam boiler and retort.

March Partition offroom in north washhouse and put in steam pipes for drying clothes.
1883
Oct. Drain lower pond, draw in sand & set out cranberry plants there.
Dec Barn and drying shed burned at Rotterdam.

Jan. Built new barn at Rotterdam. (Farms there were on both sides of river.)
1886
March ChF grist and sawmill burned.

May ChF raise new mill.
1 Aug Galen Richmond died. Business agent for SF over 30 years.
