1 June "Eight brethren go" to Schenectady and carry materials for putting up the
house."
2 June "D. Cole, Azuriah and three sisters go to see "our plantation at Schenectady."
4 June "The brethren finish the house at Schenectady and return home."
6 June "The churn fixed to go by water (power)."
10 June A loom set up for weaving palm leaf.
11 June Two sisters come from CF to show about weaving bonnets.
(Are going to and from "Durrop" continually. Apparently have fields
and crops there and come home for provisions.)
23 June Polly Vedder comes to instruct sisters about bonnets.
23 July Sylvester to Durrop by railroad.
30 July Shubel and Joseph G. go to Durrop to sow turnips. During July, work
on rebuilding the mill dam.
1 Aug Begin to "turf the dam."
11 Aug "Bad news from the East. T and J to the, I shall not tell."
20 Aug The WF sends a team to help on the dam.
21 Aug Elder Calvin and Edward to Durrop.
22 Aug Shubel and Edward return from Durrop.
27 Aug The dam finished and water let in.
2 Sept Elder Calvin and some sisters to Durrop for quilting.
9 Sept Bring load of broom corn from Durrop.
15 Oct "We kill a cow that got choked with pumpkin."
19 Oct Bring last load of broom corn from Durrop; now begin to dig potatoes there.
28 Oct Shubel brings 74 barrels of potatoes on the railroad from Durrop "to the
half way house."
