6 June Rebecca Perot starts for Philadelphia.
5 July IB to Albany with Justice (Harwood) to see the Governor about the pardon of
Charles Soule.
17 July "Tremendous hurricane" It tore off one side of the roof of the brick shop
and sent some of it against the sisters shop and broke some of the windows,
bruised the clapboards and injuried the roof. It tore down one of the chim-
neys of the dwelling house and broke in the roof, and damaged our crops.
18 July Some of the brethren from the other families came to help us repair our
shattered buildings.
