5 Oct John Clement comes with his sons, Joseph and John, and daughters, Emmy and Mary,

21 Oct John Clement starts for home.
28 Nov Theodore Wicks starts for NYCity.
19 Dec Constable with summons for IB, Asa, Joseph and Brother Richard.
Electa Talmage's relations visit herp on her sick bed.

10 May Great fire in theaity of Troy. Both bridges burnt.
19 July Joseph LafurKa made us a cheese press and brought ithere.
22 Aug Polly Turney's son and daughter visit.

10 Sept Asa to Albany "to huntup hands for the broom corn." (Time to harvest)
14 Oct "Galen to see the poormaster about taking the west farm."
31 Oct Charles Blanchard broke his elbow last night and was taken to Dr. Noxon.
15 Nov Abiel (Hathaway) takes William Hunter's place as family deacon and William works in
the broom shop.
12 Dec Charles Blanchard had his elbow reset by Dr. March.

(All during 1862 and 1863 there are references of going to "Galen's farm" to harvest
corn, put livestock in barn for winter, etc.)

4 Feb William Sealy died.
6 Feb Luthe/Wells died.
8 Feb Asa and William Hunter to Brown's Tavern on the turnpike to see a sick horse that he
left there yesterday.
9 Feb Galen to the Island afterbroom corn but could not cross theriver.
13 Feb Benjamin B. goes to Brown's Tavern to help Asa watch with a sick mare.
14 Feb Asa brings the sick mare home.
Galen and frhebrotheis bring four loads of broom corn from the Island.
2 Mar I .B,goes with Galen to the fcvest farm to meet the men wh o are going "to take the farm
for the milk business." (Keenholts ?)
25 Mar Lucy Pierce died at SF. A^Of
